Hi, I'm Dianna, the founder of Play Therapy with Dianna.K, formally known A Equichild, a multidisciplinary and innovative service that I launched in 2023 to provide much-needed play therapy and early childhood support services for the children and families of the South Burnett.

I’m a qualified early childhood teacher, play therapist, and Equimotional wellbeing coach with over 25 years of experience teaching 3 to 6-year-old kindergarten children. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about teaching the holistic child and ensuring that every child feels a sense of belonging and inclusion in their learning environment. From the start, I recognised the importance of supporting children's wellbeing and nurturing their social and emotional development.

My approach is hands-on, allowing for creative, open-ended learning experiences where children are empowered to wonder, enquire, and be curious. I believe that when children engage in their own learning, they can make meaningful connections between themselves and their world through play.

At Dianna.K., we combine child-centred play therapy with early childhood support to create sessions that are carefully crafted to engage children’s senses and provide a safe space for exploration. We use a play-based and strength-based approach, integrating trauma-informed care that ensures every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

My ambition is to inspire and empower children, creating lasting impacts on their emotional and psychological wellbeing. With a lifelong passion for early childhood education and a deep belief in the power of play, I’m committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child who walks through our door.
