Working Together

Every journey begins with a conversation. Whether you're seeking support for a child, guidance as a family, mentoring as an educator or consultancy for your service, every partnership begins with listening, recognising strengths and working together towards meaningful outcomes.

What Sessions Feel Like

Play Therapy sessions are calm, predictable and responsive to each child.

Children are invited into a thoughtfully prepared space where they can choose how they play, explore at their own pace and move between creative, imaginative and sensory experiences.

They are supported to feel seen, heard and understood.

The therapist gently follows the child’s lead, building a safe relationship while supporting emotional expression, regulation and development through play.

Who Play Therapy is For

At Dianna.K, Play Therapy supports children aged 3 to 9 years who:

Are experiencing big emotions or changes

Find it hard to express feelings

Need support with confidence

Are navigating social challenges

Benefit from support with regulation

Would thrive with a gentle, relationship-based approach

Suitable for young children through to older primary-aged children.

Service Location

Play Therapy sessions are offered as a mobile (outreach) service across the South Burnett and Gympie regions.

Sessions take place in a space that feels safe and familiar for your child, supporting comfort, connection and engagement. This may include your home or another agreed setting that best supports your child’s needs.

Working Together with Families

Families are an important part of the Play Therapy journey.

You will be supported through initial conversations to understand your child, ongoing communication about progress, and gentle guidance to support your child at home where appropriate.

This approach honours each child within the context of their family, relationships and everyday world.
