About Dianna

Supporting children through play, connection and early childhood development

Hello, I’m Dianna. I’m passionate about supporting children and families through gentle, relationship-based approaches that honour each child’s unique way of learning, growing and being.

My Journey

My journey in working with children began over 28 years ago in early childhood education, where I developed a deep appreciation for the way children learn, grow and experience the world.

Over time, I found myself drawn to the quieter moments — the way children communicate through play, the feelings behind their behaviours, and the stories they share without words. These moments led me to deepen my understanding of children’s emotional worlds and how best to support them.

I hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) and have completed graduate training in Play Therapy, alongside further learning in play-based approaches that support children’s development, wellbeing and connection.

Through my work, I have seen how powerful it is when children are given the space to be themselves — to explore, express and grow in ways that feel safe and natural to them.

This journey continues to be shaped by the children and families I work with. Each experience gently reinforces what I believe to be most important — that when children feel supported, understood and connected, they are able to thrive.

My Approach

My work is grounded in a gentle, relationship-based approach that honours each child’s strengths, interests and individual pathway.

I believe that:

  • Children learn best through play

  • Connection comes before expectation

  • Every child deserves to feel seen, heard and valued

  • Growth happens in safe, trusting relationships

Through play, children are able to explore their feelings, build confidence, develop skills and make sense of their world in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.

What I Bring

Alongside my experience as an Early Childhood Teacher, I draw on a range of play-based and therapeutic approaches to support children’s development, wellbeing and learning.

A Little More About Me

Outside of my work, I have a deep love for connection — with children, families and the natural world. This connection continues to guide the way I support children, always with a focus on calm, presence and understanding.

Working With Children and Families

I see my role as walking alongside children — not leading, not fixing, but supporting.

Each session is guided by the child, allowing them to explore, express and grow at their own pace. Families are an important part of this journey, and I value open communication, shared understanding and working together to support each child both within sessions and beyond.

You’re Welcome Here
